Get ready for the annual Penguin Plunge!‍

Penguin Plunge participants :

Form a team, or go solo.
Register to participate by filling out the registration form above. Email your completed form to fun@ameliaparkmuseum.org or drop it off at the museum.
Collect as many sponsors as you can, using the registration form and/or the Penguin Plunge Fundly page. Participants must raise at least $75 in sponsorships ($50 for participants under age 18).

Pick out your best costume. (Costumes aren't required, but they are encouraged!)
Join us at Hampton Ponds State Park on Saturday, Jan, 28.
Take your turn braving the icy water!

Your support sustains Amelia Park Children's Museum through the whole year by providing a safe and welcoming place for children to learn, explore, and grow.

Awards and Prizes

The Plunge participant who raises the most money will receive $500 in cold hard cash!

Staying Dry?

There's lots to do, even if you aren't going in the water!

Roast a marshmallow by the campfire
Watch a live ice sculpting demonstration
Enjoy warm beverages and hot chili
Guess the water temperature, and win a prize
And, of course, cheer on the brave participants!

FAQ

What should I bring to plunge?
We recommend two towels (one to dry off with and one to stand on) and a change of clothes. Costumes aren't necessary, but they are encouraged!

Is there a place to change at the event?
Yes, there will be HEATED changing tents. The tents can be used before and after plunging.

What time should I arrive to plunge?
Participants should check in between 11:30 and 12:00.

Is there an age requirement to participate?
Children under 18 are welcome to plunge! They just need to be accompanied by a guardian.

What to do after check in?
‍While waiting to plunge enjoy the other activities; campfire, ice sculpting, hot cocoa & smores. Be ready to line up by 12:50 pm in the pavilion.
